Sewn in Canada, our pillows and duvets are handcrafted with the unparalleled mastery and meticulous attention to detail that comes from over 50 years of industry experience. Our reputation was formally recognized when our founder, Michael de la Place, was asked to serve as the president of the Down Association of Canada in 1997. For over 20 years he brought a wealth of industry knowledge to the role and is credited with elevating the ethical and environmental standards of the Canadian down industry.

Down is both compressible and resilient. It will conform to your body while you are sleeping and spring back to its original, fluffy shape during the day. No other material regains its “loft” like down.

ELEMENTS OF A DOWN BED
DUVET
Your duvet is the heart of a deep and restful sleep. Get the best duvet you can afford, as the finer the quality the more light and comfortable your duvet will be. Ensure that you choose the appropriate size for your bed, because if it is too large your duvet will drag on the floor.
Sleeping on a down top feather mattress topper feels like sleeping on a cloud. The down filled layer is soft and luxurious to the touch. The bottom layer is filled with feather and/or down, which provides an extra layer of comfort while giving you subtle support.
TOPPER
SLEEPING PILLOWS
High quality pillows are a dream to sleep on. They gently form their shape to you and will stay soft and puffy for years.
Grand Queen or Grand King pillows behind your sleeping pillows make a great visual statement and are comfortable when sitting up. We recommend a 20/80 or 50/50 down and feather fill.

RENEWABLE & BIODEGRADABLE
Down has the lowest carbon footprint of all insulating materials. It is naturally occurring and biodegradable making it sustainable and eco-friendly. The best cover fabrics for duvets are made of cotton, and TENCEL™ fibers, which are also renewable materials and completely biodegradable.
ETHICAL & REGULATED
St Genève is committed to obtaining down and feathers from sources that are sustainable and ethical. The farms we select meet or exceed the highest humane practices for raising geese and ducks. Live pluck and foie gras down is forbidden under this commitment.
