James Bay down is so exquisite, it is rarer then eiderdown. It is incredibly soft, lightweight and resilient. With care, it will last for generations.
James Bay rocky, rolling coasts and low-lying islands and islets provide a major migration pathway and a breeding ground for Canadian Geese each spring and fall. The down is collected from these wild migratory geese in the Canadian North by Cree (Huron) Native Americans under special license from the Canadian Government. It is illegal for anyone but the Cree to collect it.
This wild down has a loft of over 800 and has a superior insulating ability because of its high density and cling. The down is meticulously hand sorted and cleaned according to ZURGUARD standard. James Bay down is so clean we confidently guarantee our down products to be hypoallergenic for three months from the day of purchase.
